Michelle provides planning services to nine counties in the greater Charlotte region in work related to land use and transportation, healthy community initiatives, energy and the environment. Her work is focused on helping local governments address shared, long-term issues through collaboration and partnerships. She directed the creation of the Charlotte region’s growth framework, CONNECT Our Future, an effort spanning two states, 14 counties, and engaging over 8,400 participants.
